“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves”.
Jesus Christ continuously warns us to be careful with false prophets. Two animals of opposite character are used in the above quotation to be a guide to you.
The Bible is advising us not to look at the outward appearance but to assess them from the inside. Don’t be carried by the numerous quotations someone can give, how ” powerful ” he can preach; because when Satan met Jesus, he(Satan) quoted the Bible.
Open your eyes.A good Christian must do deep thinking and analysis of events and issues. There’re many of the false prophets out there deceiving people. The Bible has asked us to test the spirit if they’re of God. Never follow blindly because the wolves are with us to destroy. May our Heavenly Father help us to escape.
HINTS TO KNOW FALSE PROPHETS
2 Peter 2:1-3
BUT ALSO [in those days] there arose false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among yourselves, who subtly and stealthily introduce heretical doctrines (destructive heresies), even denying and disowning the Master Who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
And many will follow their immoral ways and lascivious doings; because of them the true Way will be maligned and defamed.
And in their covetousness (lust, greed) they will exploit you with false (cunning) arguments. From of old the sentence [of condemnation] for them has not been idle; their destruction (eternal misery) has not been asleep.
Kindly carefully read through the quotation above and watch out on the following.
1.They introduce heresies doctrines which are destructive.
2.They deny Jesus and power in His name. They project stickers, oil, water, Koko etc. Some even claim Jesus is fake
3.They speak evil of the true way to God.
4.They easily attract and get followers.
5.Because of them, people speak evil of God.
6. They exploit people with cunning ways to be rich.
7. They’re greedy and lustful.
“(For many walks, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
For the past few days, I’ve tried to create the awareness in you about false prophets. I’m doing this so that you’ll not be misled. The quotation above also gives some information which is helpful to guide you.Bear in mind that, the false prophets are enemies to Jesus. It simply means that you’re also a target too; because you’re a follower of Jesus. That you may miss Heaven. (John 10:10)
In verse 19 of the quotation above, three things identify the false prophets.
1.Their god is their belly.Their focus is on how to feed themselves but not your success.
2.Their glory is in their SHAME.What everyone sees as disgrace or shame, rather elevate and lift them.So if their names are going down, they easily create something which you may see as shame.
3.Their messages, prophecies and lifestyle is much focused and concentrated on earthly things. The reason is that they’re aware they have no business in Heaven.
My dear reader, use the messages I’ve been sending to think through and look around. My work isn’t to mention names but to educate and create awareness so you can be saved. May you have the Divine understanding in Jesus name.
